Hi.

Here are some of my favorite adventures, photos and words. :)

Hope you have a nice stay!

Corona Arch

Corona Arch

Approximately 10 miles down Potash Rd, you’ll find the Corona Arch trailhead on the right side of the road, opposite the Colorado River. This 3 mile out and back trail was my favorite hike of our trip. We chose this hike because 1. It looked beautiful and 2. It would allow us to avoid the crowds of the National Parks for the day. On a difficulty scale, I’d rate it Moderate. There are a few sections with slick rock and cables to help you traverse the potentially difficult terrain and a very small ladder you must climb to continue on to the arch. If you are unable to climb the ladder, you can still view Corona Arch and it’s neighbor, Bowtie Arch, from this location.

After climbing the ladder, we continued along the ridge of the canyon to the arch. We got lucky and actually had the arch to ourselves for about 10 minutes. We continued through the arch and found a nice spot in the shade and enjoyed our lunch. As with any hike, make sure you’ve packed enough water! You’ll need it! If you’re ever in the area, I’d highly recommend this hike!
